David Goeckeler
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

David Goeckeler is the chairman and CEO of Sandisk Corporation. Over his career, he has focused on innovating and growing industries ranging from semiconductors to global networking to enterprise software. He is recognized as a transformational leader with an exceptional track record of driving highly profitable core businesses at scale.

Sandisk, a global Flash semiconductor storage and advanced memory technology innovator, has extensive operations throughout the United States and Asia, with more than 10,000 employees worldwide. The brand is widely recognized globally for innovation, performance, and quality.

Previously, Goeckeler was CEO of Western Digital, where he led the company’s resurgence as the leading global supplier of data storage products. He also drove the company’s separation into two public companies – Western Digital and Sandisk – to fully unlock the value of the franchise.

Prior to Western Digital, he served as executive vice president and general manager of Cisco’s $34 billion networking and security business, accelerating the company’s networking and security strategy. Goeckeler started his career at Bell Laboratories.

Goeckeler currently serves as chairman of the board of directors of the Semiconductor Industry Association and as chairman of the U.S.-Japan Business Council (USJBC) at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He also sits on the board of directors of ADP, a comprehensive global provider of cloud-based human capital management solutions, and on the board of visitors for the University of Illinois College of Engineering.

Luis F. Visoso
EVP and Chief Financial Officer

Luis F. Visoso is the executive vice president and chief financial officer at Sandisk. He previously served as the chief administrative officer at Western Digital. Widely respected across the industry, he has more than two decades of experience in global financial leadership roles and expertise spanning a hybrid of massive-scale consumer and enterprise technology companies.

Most recently, Visoso was senior vice president and CFO of Unity Software Inc. Before Unity, he held the CFO role at Palo Alto Networks, Amazon Web Services, and Amazon’s worldwide consumer organization. He served in a senior finance role supporting Cisco’s $40 billion technology portfolio and spent 23 years in various finance leadership positions, including business unit CFO, responsible for the strategy development and implementation of an $80 billion consumer goods portfolio at Procter & Gamble.

Visoso serves on the board of directors for JFrog and is a member of the board’s audit committee. He previously served as the chair of the audit committee at Splunk. Visoso holds a bachelor’s in industrial engineering and a minor in international business from Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Alper Ilkbahar
Senior Vice President, Memory Technology

Alper Ilkbahar is senior vice president of memory technology at Sandisk, overseeing NAND technology development, next-generation technologies, corporate research functions, and market development.

Most recently, Ilkbahar served as senior vice president of global strategy and technology at Western Digital. Prior to Western Digital, he was the vice president of the Data Center Group and general manager of the Intel Optane Group. In this role, he supported the development of memory and storage solutions by integrating innovative hardware and software for next-generation data centers around Optane Technology.

Ilkbahar served as vice president and general manager of several business units at SanDisk. He started his career in Intel’s microprocessor division, where he worked in design engineering and management.

A leader who has honed his technical expertise, Ilkbahar holds more than 50 patents in the fields of semiconductor process, device, design, and testing.

Ilkbahar received a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, Turkey, a master’s in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan, and a master’s in business administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

 

Khurram Ismail
Senior Vice President, Engineering & Product Management

Khurram Ismail is senior vice president of engineering and product management at Sandisk. In this role, he oversees product development across market segments, including consumer, client, gaming, automotive, and the data center.

Ismail leads a multidisciplinary global organization focused on delivering high-value products that serve a wide range of customers by leveraging vertically integrated Flash technology solutions.

A passionate leader in the semiconductor industry, Ismail guides his teams to take a fearless approach to innovation. He brings more than 25 years of engineering and business management experience in the industry with a unique combination of business acumen, technical understanding, and systems development expertise, gained as an engineer and executive with roles of progressively increasing responsibility at Western Digital, SanDisk, and Micron.

Previously, he has held roles in product development in client and embedded, applications engineering, and product and test engineering. Ismail graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in electrical engineering. He is actively involved in civic organizations focused on reducing food insecurity for children and young adults.

Janet Allgaier
Senior Vice President, Consumer Product

Janet Allgaier leads Sandisk’s consumer product organization, bringing more than 25 years of experience in brand-building and innovation. A seasoned leader known for her agility and passion for turning consumer insights into actionable strategies, Allgaier is responsible for developing the product portfolio branding and marketing strategy to drive growth and maximize the consumer business.

Prior to Sandisk, Allgaier had a distinguished career at Procter & Gamble, where she played a pivotal role in building some of the company's most successful global brands, including Pampers, Gillette and Venus Personal Care, and Old Spice. During her tenure, she oversaw all aspects of brand management, including product innovation, global strategy development, go-to-market operations, and geographic expansion.

Most recently, Allgaier worked with privately held companies to leverage artificial intelligence to build predictive consumer behavior models and address key questions around effective brand development.

Allgaier holds a master’s in business administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a bachelor’s in communications from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce.

Bernard Shek
Chief Legal Officer and Secretary.

Bernard Shek is chief legal officer and secretary of Sandisk. He is responsible for the company’s global legal, compliance, intellectual property, and government affairs functions, comprising an international team of lawyers, paralegals, and other professionals.

Shek brings nearly 30 years of legal experience and has spent more than two decades guiding semiconductor and technology companies through complex legal and regulatory issues.

Prior to Sandisk, Shek held leadership roles at Western Digital, most recently serving as senior vice president, deputy general counsel, and assistant secretary. During his tenure, he led commercial, corporate, employment, intellectual property, litigation, and M&A functions. Before his time at Western Digital, Shek served as the global head of litigation, investigations, and employment for SanDisk.

Previously, Shek spent nearly 15 years practicing corporate and commercial litigation and intellectual property law at several law firms, including Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Cooley LLP.

Shek holds a bachelor’s from the University of California, Berkeley, and a law degree from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco.
