David V. Goeckeler
Chief Executive Officer

David Goeckeler is the CEO of Sandisk. Over his career, he has focused on innovating and growing industries ranging from semiconductors to global networking to enterprise software. He is recognized as a transformational leader with an exceptional track record of driving highly profitable core businesses at scale.

Sandisk has extensive operations throughout the United States and Asia, with more than 10,000 employees worldwide. The brand is widely recognized globally for innovation, performance, and quality.

Previously, Goeckeler was CEO of Western Digital, where he led the company’s resurgence as the leading global supplier of data storage products. He also drove the company’s separation into two public companies – Western Digital and Sandisk – to fully unlock the value of the franchise.

Prior to Western Digital, he served as executive vice president and general manager of Cisco’s $34 billion networking and security business, accelerating the company’s networking and security strategy. Goeckeler started his career at Bell Laboratories.

Goeckeler currently serves as chairman of the board of directors of the Semiconductor Industry Association and as chairman of the U.S.-Japan Business Council (USJBC) at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He also sits on the board of directors of ADP, a comprehensive global provider of cloud-based human capital management solutions, and on the board of visitors for the University of Illinois College of Engineering.

Kimberly E. Alexy
Director

Kimberly Alexy joins the Sandisk board, having previously served as a director for Western Digital since November 2018. A seasoned financial services professional, Alexy brings more than 25 years of experience in capital markets, corporate finance, and investments to the board. She founded Alexy Capital Management, a private investment fund, in 2005 and serves as its principal. She has served on over a dozen public company and pre-IPO boards and has extensive experience chairing audit, compensation, nominating, and governance committees as well as a series of transaction committees.

Previously, Alexy served as a sell-side equity research analyst on Wall Street for nearly a decade, specializing in the technology and corporate finance industries at Prudential Securities, Lehman Brothers and Wachovia Bank. Alexy is a chartered financial analyst and holds a bachelor’s from Emory University and a master’s in business administration from the College of William and Mary.

Rick Cassidy
Director

Rick Cassidy is senior vice president of corporate strategy development at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (TSMC), responsible for corporate strategy planning and implementation. He is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in the semiconductor industry. Previously, Cassidy served as chairman, president, and chief executive officer at TSMC Arizona and as president and chief executive officer at TSMC North America.

Cassidy is a board advisor of Ethernovia and a board member of Achronix and the Global Semiconductor Alliance.

Thomas Caulfield
Director

Dr. Thomas Caulfield is the president and chief executive officer of GlobalFoundries. He is a demonstrated leader with extensive experience in the semiconductor industry, spanning engineering, global operational leadership, corporate strategy, manufacturing, and marketing.

Prior to being named CEO of GlobalFoundries in 2018, he was senior vice president and general manager of the company’s 300 mm semiconductor wafer manufacturing facility (Fab 8). Dr. Caulfield also held senior executive positions at several leading technology companies, including IBM and Novellus Systems, Inc. He previously served on the board of directors of Western Digital.

Devinder Kumar
Director

Devinder Kumar has more than 40 years of experience in the technology industry. He has been a member of the board of directors of Ciena, a networking systems, services, and automation software company, since August 2019 and is the chairman of the audit committee.

During a 39-year tenure at AMD, he was executive vice president and chief financial officer for 10 years from 2013 to 2023 and corporate controller for 11 years from 2001 to 2012. He has vast global experience, including spending 10 years in Asia for AMD’s manufacturing services group across Malaysia, China, Singapore, and Thailand. He retired from AMD in 2023.

Kumar has a bachelor’s degree in ecology from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, a master’s degree in biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a master’s in business administration in finance from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Matthew E. Massengill
Director

Matthew Massengill sits on the board of directors of Sandisk, where he serves as lead independent director and chair of the governance committee. He previously served as the chairman of the board of Western Digital, where he has been a director since January 2000.

Massengill joined Western Digital in 1985 and served in various executive roles until 2007, including chief operating officer, president, and chief executive officer. He has served on the boards of Conexant, Microsemi, GT Technologies, Vizio, and Viewsonic.

Necip Sayiner
Director

Dr. Necip Sayiner was chief executive officer of Intersil Corporation, a leading provider of innovative power management and precision analog solutions, until its acquisition by Renesas Electronics Corporation. Post-acquisition, he served as executive vice president of Renesas Electronics Corporation and president of Renesas Electronics America. Previously, he served as president and chief executive officer of Silicon Laboratories, a fabless global technology and semiconductor manufacturing company.

Dr. Sayiner is a past chairman and vice chairman of the Semiconductor Industry Association. He currently sits on the boards of directors of Rambus, Inc., a semiconductor manufacturer, and Axcelis Technologies, Inc., a supplier to the semiconductor manufacturing industry.

Ellyn J. Shook
Director

Ellyn Shook served as Accenture’s chief leadership and human resources officer, where she was responsible for helping the company's 738,000 employees succeed professionally and personally. Her global HR expertise reimagined leadership and talent practices to create truly human work environments, which fueled Accenture’s differentiation in the market. Previously, she held several senior leadership roles across the global human resources organization at Accenture.

Shook is an executive committee member of the Professional Roundtable of CHROs and serves on the board for the National Academy of HR. She is also a member of the board of the Baldwin Group (BWIN) and chairs the compensation committee.

Miyuki Suzuki
Director

Miyuki Suzuki serves on the boards of directors of Sandisk, Twilio Inc. and Jera Co., Inc., Japan’s largest power generation company. She has more than 35 years of leadership experience in the technology and telecommunications industries. With deep global operations expertise that spans the Asia Pacific region, she most recently was president of Asia Pacific, Japan, and China at Cisco.

Prior to that, Suzuki held senior leadership roles at Jetstar Airways, LexisNexis, Japan Telecom, and Thomson Reuters Corporation. Suzuki holds a master’s in history from the University of Oxford. She previously served on the board of directors of Western Digital.
